Clinical Trial Participation Unaffected by Disclosure of Investigator’s Financial Stake
December 21, 2007 Download PDFThe willingness to participate in a clinical investigation may not be affected by learning of the investigator’s financial stake, concludes a new study conducted by Gregory A. Guagnano, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at George Mason University and Jeffrey N. Gibbs of Hyman, Phelps & McNamara, P.C. The study, which was conducted with students at George Mason University, found that offering payments did increase their willingness to participate. This is reported in an article in the latest issue of the Food and Drug Law Journal, published by the Food and Drug Law Institute.
